Alice’s Little Parade Review

Alice’s Little Parade Review

Alice’s Little Parade is a 1926 animated short film from the Alice Comedies series. It’s a solid short.

This movie is all about this silly war that Julius wages against who other than mice of course. Yes, the mice being nuisances has always been a cartoon trope and here they are straight villains, which was ridiculous. The entire film is very silly and lacking any more meaningful plot.

Where this film succeeds at is in solid action scenes and a pretty good use of Julius himself. He has effectively become the protagonist of the entire series while Alice is reduced to a side role once again. The animation is also quite strong and the character design work here was better than usual for the series.

Alice’s Little Parade has a weak plot, but solidly executed action scenes and pretty good animation.

My Rating – 3.5
