Pink Elephant Review

Pink Elephant is a 1975 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

An elephant follows the Pink Panther home from the zoo and he tries to hide the elephant from the public so he will not be convicted of “elephant-napping”. This is one of those animal-oriented flicks which they have made a lot of during the many years and decades of animation’s golden age. It concerns the protagonist hiding an animal from everyone else and taking care of it.

Of course, the Little Man is there to spoil everything. I did like his role, especially the ending is great where he chased the two with a broom. Pink is also wonderful here, but the elephant is so forgettable and should have been better developed. The animation is just solid and so is the score, but nothing here is particularly great or memorable unfortunately.

Pink Elephant has some great moments and a fun ending, but its storyline is uninspired and clichéd.

My Rating – 3.5
