Auntie Edna Review

Auntie Edna Review

Auntie Edna is a 2018 animated short film. It is a Pixar short based on ‘The Incredibles 2’.

In this short, Edna babysits Jack-Jack, who ends up using his powers in a multitude of ways. While inferior to the previous short based on ‘The Incredibles’, this is still a fun little flick that offers a great look into what was going on when Edna was babysitting Jack-Jack. She has always been one of the funniest Pixar characters and it was terrific seeing her in a more pronounced role.

Though nowhere near as witty as you’d expect, the movie flies by as it’s fun and charming throughout. The animation is stellar and the baby’s superpowers are all very interesting and unique. Edna’s reactions are priceless. It’s a sweetly entertaining movie that failed to have a stronger plot or characterization that you’d expect from the studio.

Auntie Edna looks great and it benefits from a welcome presence of Edna, but it’s slight in story and characterization.

My Rating – 3.8
