Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Pink ReviewTwinkle, Twinkle, Little Pink Review

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Pink is a 1968 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

The Pink Panther builds a house on a hill between an observatory and the moon, which annoys an astronomer working at the observatory. Eventually he ends up on the Moon hilariously so in that amazing finale. Yes, this is by far one of the greatest Pink Panther shorts ever made. Everything here works – from the concept to the execution to the amazing, polished animation.

I loved the score and the imagery is fantastic. But simply the attention to detail is excellent, and the film’s take on astronomy is appropriately atmospheric and cartoony. Pink is great here, but the Little Man, who is the astronomer himself, steals the show. It was so funny watching him get annoyed and eventually utterly destroyed by the panther.

Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Pink is one of the best entries in the series thanks to a killer premise beautifully executed.

My Rating – 4.5
