The Pink Quarterback ReviewThe Pink Quarterback Review

The Pink Quarterback is a 1968 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

After the Pink Panther flips a quarter to decide whether he should spend it on a hot dog or a hamburger, it rolls away, and he goes after it. This is one of those flicks that make use of The Little Man so well. He is great here, in particular in the second half where his frustrations are very amusing to watch.

I found the first half slower and less involving, but the film later on becomes quite fun, especially in its construction working setting. The action is some of the best in recent memory, but the humor overall could have been better. The flick is so well animated and very well scored, but nothing too unique.

The Pink Quarterback looks and sounds great and it has fine action, but the humor is lacking.

My Rating – 4
