Terrier Stricken ReviewTerrier Stricken Review

Terrier Stricken is a 1952 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a weak flick.

Frisky Puppy’s barking at the worst possible moments get Claude Cat into a heap of troublesome situations. The premise is of the slightest kind, and the execution isn’t much better either. I liked Claude Cat here as he’s always quite fun, though without the mice to keep his regular company, he’s much less interesting in comparison.

What I really disliked in this short is the very repetitive nature to it. All of the situations that they get into are not all that interesting to begin with, some are amusing, but only mildly. The animation’s good, but the score not so much. The action is the weakest part, and thus obviously the humor never becomes anything more than serviceable.

Terrier Stricken looks good and Claude is good, but the premise and execution aren’t so great as the film’s quite repetitive.

My Rating – 3.2
