Swing Ding Amigo Review

Swing Ding Amigo Review

Swing Ding Amigo is a 1966 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a pretty weak short.

Speedy has an A Go-Go Club that resides in Daffy Duck’s home. Daffy has had enough and tries everything in his power to get rid of them because of the raucous noise they make. This is yet another Speedy and Daffy entry that simply felt lazy and uninspired. The animation is very mediocre and cheap-looking, though the score is reasonably lively.

Speedy is better used here than in most of these shorts as he got a couple of fine catchphrases, but for the most part the premise failed both characters. The ending is okay and Daffy was amusing there, but overall none of the gags made me chuckle, let alone laugh.

Swing Ding Amigo is another tiresome Speedy/Daffy cartoon with some solid character moments, but a bad screenplay and uninspired gags.

My Rating – 3.1
