Pink Tuba-Dore ReviewPink Tuba-Dore Review

Pink Tuba-Dore is a 1971 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

An Alpine village is home to the Little Man whose incessant tuba playing outrages the entire community. After being threatened with eviction, he and his dog head for the Alps to play in seclusion, unknowingly disturbing the Pink Panther’s sleep. This is an odd short that is focused on tuba music way too much for its own sake. It wasn’t particularly funny either.

However, what it does great is in the character department. Not only is Pink very good here, but the Little Man is so much fun. The two share such a fun dynamic here, and finally the guy is returning in these last couple of shorts in full capacity. The shorts featuring him as an adversary are usually much more enjoyable.

Pink Tuba-Dore is odd, but definitely very amusing in the scenes featuring the Little Man.

My Rating – 3.8
