Pink Piper Review

Pink Piper Review

Pink Piper is a 1976 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

The Pink Panther attempts to lead the mice out of town in what is a Pink Panther adaptation of the famous Pied Piper story. I personally do not favor this series to adapt famous stories, but here they made a rather solid effort that works quite well, though most of it isn’t particularly original or exciting.

I liked the mice. They were a lot of fun. Pink is less memorable, but the mice are so much fun, I liked the introduction of elephants in the third act and most of the scenes with the mice were very entertaining. The animation is very charming and the movie felt different enough in atmosphere while still retaining the classic Pink Panther style in animation and music.

Pink Piper needed more humor and a better role for Pink, but the mice in it are a lot of fun and the movie looks great.

My Rating – 3.8
