Mice Follies Review

Mice Follies is a 1960 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a solid short.

In yet another cartoon spoof of TV’s ‘The Honeymooners’, rodents Ralph Crumden and Ned Morton have stayed out too late and return home fearing their wives’ wrath. Along the way, they encounter and anger a cat, who follows them home and attacks them in the dark. Not seeing the cat, they think they’re being physically scolded by their wives. The same misunderstanding then happens to the wives themselves.

Although somewhat more enjoyable than previous parody outings of the same show, this is still a very dated cartoon that lost its momentum due to it being too timely for this era. With that being said, the voice acting is great and the basic premise was actually stellar and funny, but admittedly it got old pretty quickly due to its repetitiveness.

Mice Follies is another dated parody short that is repetitious, but very well voice acted and solid in its concept.

My Rating – 4
