Daffy Rents Review

Daffy Rents Review

Daffy Rents is a 1966 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very weak short.

After Speedy Gonzales wreaks havoc and gets cats hospitalized, Daffy Duck is called to put a stop to it involving a big cash settlement. The ending of this short is a lot of fun and it was quite memorable. Daffy also got some very amusing lines of dialogue that worked and were delightful.

With that being said, this is still quite a mediocre cartoon that is overall serviceable throughout, but hardly memorable. The gags are uninspired, Speedy as a whole was utterly forgettable here and the overall plot is very slim and uninteresting. The animation is also quite poor and the score is nothing to write home about. 1966 was truly a very poor year for Warner Bros. cartoons.

Daffy Rents has some memorable moments, but for the most part this was a forgettable, uninspired Daffy/Speedy short.

My Rating – 3.1
