Daffy Duck for President Review

Daffy Duck for President Review

Daffy Duck for President is a 2004 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series.

Daffy Duck tries to go into the government to make a law stating that Rabbit Season shall be a minimum of 12 months while Bugs tries to stop him by means of the US constitution. This is one of those children’s movies that are meant to teach kids about something, this time about US government and how law works in this country. For everybody who knows these facts, the explanations would prove to be boring.

The highlight, though, was the utilization of Daffy Duck and Bugs Bunny within the context of this storyline. Daffy wanting to change laws was consistently amusing and how he failed to grasp how law works was hilarious. Bugs was also well realized, but it is Daffy who stole this movie. The animation is solid, but the runtime is overly fleeting.

Daffy Duck for President has a standard teaching material ending, but the rest of the cartoon is a lot of fun, featuring perfectly cast Daffy Duck.

My Rating – 3.8
