Bimbo’s Express is a 1931 animated short film from the Talkartoons series.

Betty Boop is moving, but Bimbo is smitten with her. This film is actually nothing special in terms of storyline. I get why some would not like it, but I personally really enjoyed it for the many things that it did right, not counting the simple and uninteresting plot.

Betty had more of a proactive role here and she was quite amusing. Bimbo was at some of his best here and his new design at this time was excellent and much improved from before. The animation is also stellar and polished while the score is fun and dynamic. There is so much energy and a great dynamic between these two to be found in this very entertaining flick.

Bimbo’s Express has a weak plot, but strong animation and score. It also features Bimbo and Betty at some of their best.
