The Betty Boop Limited Review

The Betty Boop Limited Review

The Betty Boop Limited is a 1932 animated short film from the Talkartoons series.

On a special train, Betty’s show troupe rehearses: Betty sings, Bimbo juggles, and Koko does a soft-shoe. The train itself also does tricks. This was the last Talkartoons short and it was a very good one. Although the plot gave way to the song way too much toward the end, that song was still a lot of fun and Betty was very memorable here.

By this point it was obvious that Betty has become a bigger star than Bimbo and in this movie she is the protagonist. She is delightfully charming and adorable. Bimbo and Koko got their moments as well, but Betty is the star. The plot is almost non-existent and the humor is absent too, but the score is great and the animation is gorgeous, polished and inventive.

The Betty Boop Limited is a pretty good Talkartoons short and the last one in the series. Betty is memorable here and the animation is great.

My Rating – 3.9
