A Mouse Divided ReviewA Mouse Divided Review

A Mouse Divided is a 1953 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is an odd, but fun cartoon.

This is a very strange cartoon containing storks, mice, Sylvester and some other cats. It’s difficult to explain the plot as it’s so odd, but I did end up liking most of it. In particular, the cats storming into the house was a great scene, and I liked all of the scenes with the mice and Sylvester who is here excellent.

But the stork scenes felt very weird, and I was baffled by this overall storyline which felt not well thought out at all. The entire movie is disjointed. The pace, the action and everything really is very uneven here, though a lot of it is undeniably entertaining and even funny. I just wanted to make sense of it all, and I failed to that, hilariously though.

A Mouse Divided is a strange, disjointed mess of a film that is still very funny in spots and hugely entertaining for the most part.

My Rating – 3.8
