Forward March Hare ReviewForward March Hare Review

Forward March Hare is a 1953 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weaker flick.

Bugs Bunny gets drafted into military. I have seen such shorts about drafting before and certainly done better than this, so I was unimpressed with this one. The references to Porky Pig and Tweety Pie are excellent, and those were the most amusing ones to me.

But other gags weren’t all that great. The animation’s good, and Bugs is his usually enthusiastic and amusing self, but simply the premise is very tiresome by now, and I am tired of these war/military shorts. Again, everything here is fine, but nothing is particularly great.

Forward March Hare has a couple of strong moments and Bugs is good, but the premise and the execution are mostly tiresome.

My Rating – 3.6
