The Super Snooper ReviewThe Super Snooper Review

The Super Snooper is a 1952 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a disappointing movie.

Daffy Duck is called Duck Drake here. He is a detective after a femme fatale whom he deems to be responsible for a murder. This is an obvious parody of 1940s noir films, but not the best such parody as Daffy received a better such film before. My problem with this film is its very small scale. It happens in one room, and it follows the interactions between these two, and that’s it for the whole movie.

But some of those interactions are undoubtedly a lot of fun, and even hilarious. Some lines are so amusing and clever while the woman is an instantly memorable, very well designed creation. Daffy is phenomenal in this detective role. The animation is truly fantastic and so polished and detailed.

The Super Snooper has a small scale, but it looks great, and the character interactions are very entertaining.

My Rating – 3.9
