The Great Carrot Train Robbery Review

The Great Carrot Train Robbery is a 1969 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a solid cartoon.

Bunny and Claude are still at their carrot caper. This time, they rob a train as the Sheriff is once again called out to stop them. This was the second and last cartoon starring Bunny and Claude and I would have honestly preferred them getting more movies than seeing Daffy and Speedy dozens of times for no valid reason. At least these two are somewhat fun and charming.

This one is better than the previous flick. Though it still has its flaws (the storyline is utterly uninspired and the movie’s action and gags are only okay), the atmosphere was pleasant, the soundtrack was an utter delight and the flick captured that western mood very well. It’s an underrated short that had no right being as good as it was.

The Great Carrot Train Robbery is a perfectly fine cartoon featuring fun characters and a strong soundtrack, though the plot and gags are uninspired.

My Rating – 3.4
