Pink-In ReviewPink-In Review

Pink-In is a 1971 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

The Pink Panther reads some old letters from his army friend Loud-Mouth Louie, which reminisce of various antics that the Panther has gotten into. This is by far the worst Pink Panther short so far, others are not even close. I did find the framing device solid, and the more archaic animation served its purpose in this instance, but other than that, this is a waste of time.

The footage from other movies is used, thus making this movie a rehashed entry in the series. Also, most of those flicks that they used I wasn’t the biggest fan of, leading to a series of disconnected not that great films in the first place. It’s just so lazy that it really bothered me.

Pink-In is a lazy movie that benefits from solid animation, but its rehashed use of older movies was a big problem.

My Rating – 3
