Muchos Locos a 1966 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a frustrating short.

In the short, Speedy highlights some of his and Daffy’s previous exploits. Yes, that means that this is yet another filler cartoon with no original material anywhere to be found. Well, with one exception and that is the ending. The final sequence sees Daffy get the best of Speedy for once as he hits him in the head with a mallet. It was a fun ending and it was terrific seeing that development finally occur after so many movies where the opposite was the case.

But Muchos Locos is rather mediocre if you discount that ending. They actually included scenes from previous, much better shorts, but those movies had great animation, which is all the more surprising as here they reduced their quality significantly. It was an odd choice and I don’t know what they were thinking here…

Muchos Locos is a mediocre movie that is a filler cartoon with bad animation. The ending where Daffy gets the best of Speedy was great, though.
