Mr. Incredible and Pals Review

Mr. Incredible and Pals is a 2004 animated short film. It is a Pixar short that was based on ‘The Incredibles’.

This film was animated in the style of limited animation that intentionally parodies the low budget and low-quality television Saturday-morning cartoons that aired regularly during the 1950s and 1960s. So, this is a parody of those animated shows that, thus, only functions as a comedy skit in a way. Because of that approach, the characterization was slight and non-existent.

But the movie was hilarious. The introduction of this insignificant but cute rabbit character was so funny as it signals how animal sidekicks are always there just to appeal to smaller kids. The narration is so funny in its ludicrous nature and of course the limited animation was spot-on. The lack of character movement was particularly amusing to witness.

Mr. Incredible and Pals is a silly, but hilarious parody of animated shows of the sixties that features amusingly inept animation and ridiculous narration.

My Rating – 4
