Jack-Jack Attack Review

Jack-Jack Attack Review

Jack-Jack Attack is a 2004 animated short film. It is a Pixar short that was based on ‘The Incredibles’.

The short revolves around the situations between Jack-Jack and his babysitter Kari McKeen during the events of the main film. This is a surprisingly strong and fun short that made perfect use of these two characters from the original film and it functions as a pleasant companion piece to it. While definitely slight in plot and too fleeting in runtime, it worked as a humorous take on this franchise.

The animation was superb for the time and quite polished while the baby’s powers were so well utilized. The highlight, though, was Kari. Her frustrations with this superpowered baby were amusingly explored in this short that was at its best when she was baffled and in utter chaos. The ending was quite effective too while the overall tone of the movie was wonderfully comedic and cozy.

Jack-Jack Attack is a charming companion piece to The Incredibles. It’s a slight, but very well made short that was endearing and humorous throughout.

My Rating – 4.1
