Mickey’s Man Friday Review

Mickey’s Man Friday is a 1935 Mickey Mouse cartoon. It is a very weak entry.

So basically this movie is sort of a retelling of Robinson Crusoe which mainly focuses on the Friday character. The story itself had some potential, but it was executed very poorly with the high emphasis on dull action and stereotyped portrayals of natives.

Yes, the scene where the two meet is excellent as him repeating everything Mickey says is endearing and I did find that scene worth the watch. However, the rest of the cartoon is basically a giant mediocrity filled with boring chases, not that great animation, terrible character designs and it does not even have a good ending.

Mickey’s Man Friday has one good scene with the rest of the film being boring and mediocre. It’s such a bad way to open the year of 1935 for the series.
