Easy Peckin’s ReviewEasy Peckin’s Review

Easy Peckin’s is a 1953 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very weak flick.

A no-nonsense, hulky rooster guards a chicken coop that a fox repeatedly tries to raid. The rooster uses a gunpowder-filled chicken decoy, an exploding egg, a mallet, and a gun to repel all of the fox’s sneaky attempts to gain access to the chickens. This is the basic premise behind this quite weak Looney Tunes flick that unfortunately this late in the game should not introduce new, one-off characters.

And they are all forgettable, though the fox is solid himself. I found the plot tiresome as I have seen similar flicks many times before. The animation is okay, but nothing particularly interesting. The same should go for the action and also the humor, both okay, but far from making any truly great impression.

Easy Peckin’s has a solid fox protagonist, but otherwise it is overly familiar in plot and forgettable in terms of scenarios.

My Rating – 3.2
