Daffy Flies North Review

Daffy Flies North Review

Daffy Flies North is a 1980 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series.

Daffy tries to find alternative means of going north in the summer. This movie initially worked as the flock scene was funny and Daffy was his reliably frustrated self. Some scenes in the first half were quite amusing and the duck was a lot of fun in that section.

But then came the second half, which ruined this movie for me. It was basically a rip-off of the Pink Panther short ‘Pinto Pink’ with the horse being pretty much identical to the one in that movie. But those scenarios were much less entertaining this time around and the overall animation was one of poor, amateurish quality.

Daffy Flies North has a solid first half, but the second half is copied from another movie to the extreme. The animation is also lackluster in this flick.

My Rating – 3.4
