All Fowled Up

All Fowled Up Review

All Fowled Up is a 1955 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a superb short.

This flick is one of my childhood favorites, so it holds great nostalgic values to me. Still, even apart from that, it is undeniably a terrific film. Yes, all three of its famous characters needed more screen time as the runtime is too short, but the characterization is perfect, the animation is excellent and the humor is terrific. Henery Hawk himself is per usual hilarious and I loved that pot boiling sequence that was so cute and funny. The ending line from him is great as always.

But Barnyard Dawg and Foghorn Leghorn’s rivalry is the main focus this time around and it was glorious witnessing the two so firmly pitted against each other. The dynamite sequence is great, but it is the cement scene that was hilarious how clever and perfectly executed it is. Yes, the whole movie simply works splendidly and I hope that there are more such Foghorn classics in the future as well.

All Fowled Up is an absolute classic that is overly short, but hilarious in its many perfectly executed gags and very memorable in the Foghorn-Dawg rivalry.

My Rating – 4.5
