The Daffy Duckaroo ReviewThe Daffy Duckaroo Review

The Daffy Duckaroo is a 1942 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very disappointing flick.

I definitely liked this short, but only to a degree as it’s certainly one of the weaker Daffy Duck outings so far, way below the expected quality of his finer efforts. He here falls in love with a Native American girl, but her father opposes. Then we get a series of screwball sequences where he screws with the father in an amusing fashion.

I liked the second half better than uneventful first half. It has a couple of fun scenes, including the drag one, and Daffy per usual is maniacal, funny and very energetic. The other two are so forgettable when compared to him and the black-and-white animation itself is weak, but at least the imagery is solid and the setting is well used.

The Daffy Duckaroo has its problems and is far from great, but it’s solid enough and featuring a couple of terrific Daffy outbursts.

My Rating – 3.6
