Person to Bunny Review

Person to Bunny is a 1960 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a pretty fun cartoon.

Bugs is being interviewed, but when he insults Elmer, he shows up to have his revenge. Also, Daffy is there and he gets screwed up as expected. This is a wildly entertaining cartoon that features all three stars in fine form. Their dynamic is infectiously fun and some of Daffy’s lines were excellent. He was the highlight here. This was also the last Elmer cartoon to feature his original voice, which makes this entry historically important.

Person to Bunny struggles when it comes to originality. Bugs being on a show that parodies a show from the time when the cartoon was released. Elmer and Daffy coming in and chaos ensuing. Daffy wanting to be a star. We’ve seen all of this before and done slightly better, which is why this cartoon is only pretty solid, but far from great.

Person to Bunny is certainly familiar, but the characters’ dynamic is expectedly great and the cartoon is a lot of fun.
