Logorama ReviewLogorama Review

Logorama is a 2009 French Oscar winning animated short film that is a flawed, but interesting experience.

There is no denying the originality of this picture which consists of dozens of logos and is basically a showcase of how logos run our lives and are seen everywhere in the big cities. The animation is quite strong and they pulled the concept off visually speaking and especially in terms of the score as it is very fitting to the action on screen and with good sound design.

I liked its ending and I really liked the overall concept, but I wasn’t a big fan of its story which featured forgettable characters and an unappealing focus on action. It has too much action and relies on spectacle instead of intricate storytelling and world building. The film is still pretty meticulous in detail, but I wanted a strong message and more interesting storytelling.

Logorama is a solid film which is very original in its concept and technically polished, but it has too much action and a weaker storyline.

My Rating – 3.5
