Home Tweet Home is a 1950 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a strong flick.

Sylvester chases Tweety in the park, but there is one lady there to help the little bird. I loved everything in that park and with the lady and the baby. Those were the best sequences that eventually the duo leaving the park was disappointing, especially the scene around the hotel which wasn’t nearly as entertaining as those moments that came before it.

But I really liked the lady and her protecting the bird. Tweety is per usual hilarious with his signature baby talk, and very clever survival tactics. I loved Sylvester here as well and I hope that he gets to spend more time in the fifties with Tweety instead of other characters. The animation is terrific here along with the utilization of the setting.

Home Tweet Home is a strong first Merry Melody for this decade. It looks great and the humor is excellent.
