Gift Wrapped Review

Gift Wrapped is a 1952 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a solid movie.

This short centers on Sylvester, Tweety, Granny and Hector. All are great without a doubt, but the overall story needed to have been more original. The film’s humor is solid, but not great when compared to the previous entries in this particular series. I loved the animation, but I found the action underwhelming.

But the characters surely are excellent. Tweety per usual stole the show with his signature one-liners, and he’s so damn cute. The same goes for Granny who continues to be a formidable presence. Sylvester is terrific himself whereas Hector is even well utilized here too.

Gift Wrapped isn’t the best entry in this series, but it does benefit from a very strong use of all of its characters.
