Dizzy Dishes Review

Dizzy Dishes Review

Dizzy Dishes is a 1930 animated short film from the Talkartoons series.

Bimbo falls in love with Betty in this movie that saw the debut of Betty Boop. She’s not her regular self here, being pretty much a father, anthropomorphic version of the gal that we know and love, but her voice is familiar and her personality is intact. Bimbo also looked different here, but his horniness was quite amusing once again.

Dizzy Dishes is an odd cartoon that doesn’t really have any plot to speak of. It’s just a string of different scenes and moments disconnected from each other, but the roasted chicken gag worked throughout and it made the movie so funny. The character designs, score and pacing were all excellent and so was the film’s inventive animation and a chaotic approach.

Dizzy Dishes is plotless, but very amusing, featuring the debut of Betty Boop in this odd, but very funny short.

My Rating – 4
