Bully for Pink is a 1965 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther is in the arena fighting a bull, but the moths have destroyed his cape, leaving him defenseless. Yes, this is an odd short both in its setting and in its premise. I did like the animation and the panther had some good moments as well. The score was also good, and some scenes in the middle are great.
But the entire moth storyline was overly repetitive and simply never really amusing in any shape or form. I wanted more momentum and more situations as it felt lacking in those as the runtime is already so short. This is again the case where the Pink Panther works better when he is up against a clearly defined (human) opponent.
Bully for Pink looks and sounds good while it has its moments too, but the premise alone is weak and the action is rather repetitive.
