Baseball Bugs is a 1946 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weak Bugs Bunny entry.

I dislike baseball tremendously and especially for the fact that it absolutely flooded the classic cartoons of the Golden Age for some reason. Here, nothing stands out in terms of the action as it’s the regular baseball action with no humor to it whatsoever. The villains aren’t bad, but they’re not particularly memorable either.

Bugs elevates the material for sure, but only to some degree. Yes, he’s amusing and I loved how he outsmarted the brute villains. I liked his first scene the most as it was quite effective. The animation’s also pretty good, but the score is forgettable and both the script and humor needed more work.

Baseball Bugs has solid Bugs, but otherwise it’s a forgettable sports entry with uninspired humor and script.
