Barbary Coast Bunny is a 1956 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a slight, but funny short.

Bugs Bunny makes a fool out of Nasty Canasta by literally pulling gold out of every object there is. The short is slight and repetitive, but undoubtedly the central joke worked despite it being repeated throughout. Simply seeing Bugs get the gold out of everything was very amusing, the most hilarious moment being the telephone booth gag.

Nasty Canasta is great here and his frustrations made for a very entertaining short. The ending was terrific as well. I loved the animation with the gold particularly looking swell and Bugs is per usual very funny and highly memorable, but again more should have been done with this story. It was all too thin.

Barbary Coast Bunny is a thin short that has a strong premise and some great laughs, but it got repetitive pretty quickly.
