Ballot Box Bunny ReviewBallot Box Bunny Review

Ballot Box Bunny is a 1951 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a strong flick.

Yosemite Sam is running for mayor of a small town, and then Bugs Bunny decides to run against him. They chase and fight, and many explosions ensue. What I found problematic is the film’s unwillingness to enter into its political setting that they promised, that was unfortunate. But otherwise, it is great.

The highlights are the piano scene which is hilarious, and the delivery scene which is also terrific. What is interesting here is Yosemite Sam’s more active role, including more manipulations and plans to destroy Bugs. That was quite welcome. Obviously though, they all backfired owing to Bugs’ cleverness, he is also fantastic here. The animation is superb as well.

Ballot Box Bunny has terrific action scenes throughout with both of its characters delivering in spades.

My Rating – 4.1
