The Mouse-Merized Cat ReviewThe Mouse-Merized Cat Review

The Mouse-Merized Cat is a 1946 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weaker flick.

It is a sequel to ‘Tale of Two Mice’ again starring Babbit and Catstello, who are the mice versions of Abbott and Costello. That previous film was better than this one in my opinion as the second time around the duo got on my nerves much more. Yes, there are some solid moments to be had here and I really liked the overall premise with the hypnotizing, that was fine, but the movie lacked energy.

It is overly talkative and not enough memorable action and humorous situations were present here. It’s a proof that these two, though an effective duo, were simply not cut for more cartoons and this is evidently their last one. Their dialogue and way of speech feels overly timely for the forties and they are simply not timeless enough for me.

The Mouse-Merized Cat definitely has some good moments with the duo, but overall it’s an overly talkative and not particularly fun flick.

My Rating – 3.3
