Quasi at the Quackadero ReviewQuasi at the Quackadero Review

Quasi at the Quackadero is a 1975 animated short film directed by Sally Cruikshank.

This one was included on the famous list of The 50 Greatest Cartoons and I thoroughly disagree about its inclusion. There is only one thing very positive about it and that is its plot and world building, both are great. The futuristic attractions are well thought out and all are very intriguing.

However, because the movie features such horrible voice acting and that typically annoying, trippy 70s approach at storytelling, the plot was thus difficult to follow and it felt overly artsy and weird for the sake of being weird. The characters are underdeveloped and forgettable while their designs are all quite questionable. The score is solid and the movie had a lot of potential, but the approach was unfortunately all wrong.

Quasi at the Quackadero is a typical 70s trip fest with a very strong plot, but very bad animation and voice acting.

My Rating – 3
