Porky Pig's Feat ReviewPorky Pig’s Feat Review

Porky Pig’s Feat is a 1943 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a highly memorable entry.

Porky Pig and Daffy Duck try to escape from the hotel manager as they do not want to pay their bill, but they mostly fail at that effort as the manager simply is impossible to leave behind. Eventually, they ask help from Bugs Bunny and the rabbit is no help either. So the story is so great that the film could have been even greater and the second half is clearly better than the first. I just loved that ending with Bugs as his cameo is unforgettable here and offering a perfect conclusion for the cartoon.

But I also loved Daffy and Porky here and how they worked together in this short unlike their previous adventures. That was a lot of fun and the manager himself is excellent. The score is also really good and the action is superb as some of those scenes, especially the staircase sequence, are so authentic. The animation in particular is amazing and very stylized. It’s a proof that black-and-white animation can be just as great as the color one.

Porky Pig’s Feat is one of the best Looney Tunes so far thanks to a winning premise and a great use of all three of its iconic characters.

My Rating – 4.3
