Little Red Rodent Hood ReviewLittle Red Rodent Hood Review

Little Red Rodent Hood is a 1952 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a fun movie.

This one acts as a fairy tale that the granny mouse is telling to her grandson. In it, Sylvester tries to catch a mouse by pretending to be some sort of fairy tale character. The highlight is his Fairy Godmother routine with Hector being incorporated phenomenally in it. The mouse is a solid character as is the granny, but Sylvester stole the show with his fairy tale antics.

I loved the incorporation of both Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella in this hugely entertaining entry which looks good, and it features stellar action scenes and humor throughout. The only problem is that ending which is very weak, downright inferior and unsatisfying when compared to the rest of the movie.

Little Red Rodent Hood has a weaker ending, but it is a very strong fairy tale Sylvester comedy.

My Rating – 4
