How War Came Review

How War Came is a 1941 animated short film from Columbia Pictures. It is a pretty weak short.

This is yet another World War II flick and just one too many in my book. Even the animation here isn’t all that impressive and although the narration is solid, technically speaking the movie is weak in score, animation and especially editing and of course pacing as it is so slow and dull.

There is nothing new to be found here and the flick is so forgettable that I immediately forgot about it after having seen it. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in the year which had the vast number of ten nominations for some reason and this one slipped through the cracks undeservedly so.

How War Came is not a bad film, but it’s so forgettable and way too dull to be enjoyed more.
