Eatin’ on the Cuff or The Moth Who Came to Dinner is a 1942 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very interesting flick.

Now, I personally found this film a bit too weird and never as funny as it should have been. It is amusing in its ending, but the rest of the cartoon needed much more in terms of the humor. But it’s still a pretty interesting and original film in terms of the plot, even if the characters needed more work.

I really liked the mix of live-action and animation in this flick. The animation is fantastic and a rare example of a strong black-and-white entry from this period. I particularly liked the character designs. I also really liked the live-action scenes and they blend well into the animation.

Eatin’ on the Cuff or The Moth Who Came to Dinner is originally plotted and although not truly funny, it’s amusing and with great animation.

My Rating – 3.8
