Bushy Hare ReviewBushy Hare Review

Bushy Hare is a 1950 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is such a weak short.

Bugs winds up in the Australian Outback, where he is switched with a baby kangaroo and has to deal with an aborigine hunter. The hunter himself is very stereotypical and tiresome whereas Hippety Hopper is as cute as ever, but still Bugs being paired with him was odd, though that final scene was quite charming.

I liked how the setting was utilized in some scenes such as the ending and the beginning, but overall the short is dull and not particularly exciting in its scenarios. I found Bugs solid, but far from his usual greatness. The short as a whole felt like it came from 1934 or something like that, and 1950 is not a year when such shorts should still have been made at Warner Bros.

Bushy Hare has its charming moments, but overall it felt odd, dull and quite dated.

My Rating – 3.4
