Bunker Hill Bunny ReviewBunker Hill Bunny Review

Bunker Hill Bunny is a 1950 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a fine flick.

It follows the American Revolution by focusing on Bugs being a musician and eventually Sam joins him too, though of course unwillingly so. The animation is very nice here and the film succeeds as a fun period piece owing to good attention to detail and a great score.

I also liked that ending and Yosemite Sam is great here. Bugs, however, is somewhat subdued and not as smart or as funny as he usually is. The whole flick plays out like a competent, but not terribly entertaining or humorous movie which led to it being just solid and nothing more than that.

Bunker Hill Bunny is a fine historical piece with memorable Yosemite Sam, but Bugs Bunny himself is less memorable this time around.

My Rating – 3.7
