Bugs Bunny Rides Again Review

Bugs Bunny Rides Again is a 1948 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a solid, but not great flick.

This movie acts very much as a sequel to 1945’s ‘Hare Trigger’, but it is unfortunately never as fun or as great as that movie was. That movie is one of the first treasures when it comes to this pairing whereas here both are just solid, and rarely great.

I still liked the movie’s fast pace, a fun western atmosphere and a stupendous animation with a terrific setting well utilized. Bugs and Yosemite Sam are both pretty good here as I said above, but neither is as memorable or as funny as they could be otherwise. It’s a fine cartoon, but I expect more from this duo.

Bugs Bunny Rides Again looks and sounds great, but it needed more memorable action and humor.
