Acrobatty Bunny Review

Acrobatty Bunny is a 1946 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weaker Bugs Bunny outing.

I liked this short of course as it’s fun and amusing, but I found it disappointing overall because it simply never gained a bigger momentum to it both in terms of its storytelling and especially humor. Bugs is pretty good, but not as fantastic as he can usually be and I expected more of his shenanigans here.

I did like the lion himself and some of their interactions were quite good. I also found the circus elements to the short quite welcome and well executed, but still more could have been done with this premise and the film’s energy should have been brought up a notch. It’s still satisfactory, but far from superb.

Acrobatty Bunny has its good moments and character work, but it needed more energy to it and better humor.
