Problem Pappy Review

 Problem Pappy is a 1941 animated short from Popeye the Sailor series. It is a very weak part.

I just don’t understand this obsession with Pappy. He really isn’t that great a character and he is never as funny as the series thinks he is. This is another one of his weaker outings and I really hope that the series will bounce back to Olive and Bluto after this as I find these last couple of episodes breaking tradition in a very mediocre way.

However, it is still solid as it has its moments. The setting itself is interesting and it provides some very entertaining action. Popeye is great and I loved most of his moments here. It is also very well animated and it is pretty engaging. But Pappy should have been much funnier and the same goes for the entire short.

Problem Pappy has an interesting setting and solid action, but disappointing Pappy and humor.
