 Popeye Presents Eugene, the Jeep is a 1940 animated short from Popeye the Sailor series. It is a very satisfying cartoon.

Let’s first say that this is again far from great owing to a lack of great humor and the running time should have been trimmed a bit. However, the film is otherwise pretty good and of the better ones of its time as it’s also a rare Eugene the Jeep entry that actually uses this character well.

Popeye is so great here and of course relatable. The Jeep is awesome in his annoying behavior and watching Popeye get frustrated produced some amusing moments here. The ending is superb and I really liked that he movie revolved just around these two and yet it was pretty eventful and entertaining.

Popeye Presents Eugene, the Jeep is such a good, satisfying entry with a good usage of its title character and Popeye himself being great.
