Morning, Noon and Nightclub ReviewMorning, Noon and Nightclub Review

Morning, Noon and Nightclub is a 1937 animated short from Popeye the Sailor series. It is a fun, albeit flawed entry.

Popeye and Olive are a famous Latino dance couple in this one and yes, that is weird and crazy. But I still liked that approach here and the two are great. Popeye has one or two hilarious lines along with Olive who is really funny in the beginning, but it is Bluto who is excellent here. I liked the humor and I really enjoyed its first half.

But unfortunately, its second half is pretty forgettable and disappointing. It had a great potential to be so much better with that premise and terrific first half, but the film somehow became tired later on with not that memorable fights and overall really disappointing conclusion. For all of those reasons, this entry remains just a good, solid one, but it never reaches greatness.

Morning, Noon and Nightclub is so funny, quotable and great in its first half, but disappointing and forgettable in the second one.
