Corsby, Columbo and Vallee ReviewCrosby, Columbo and Vallee Review

Crosby, Columbo and Vallee is a 1932 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a weak entry.

Crosby, Columbo and Vallee is one of the weakest Merry Melodies so far mainly because the entire plot felt archaic and dated. I guess the portrayal of Native Americans isn’t as stereotypical as usual, but it still could have been much better and more memorable. Nothing here is memorable.

The music is solid, but again forgettable. The film has its moments near the end, but most of the plot points seemed basic. I think that the story and characters here are interesting and they had potential, but the execution is entirely unremarkable leading to a weak film. The Merry Melodies during this period were honestly quite weak and this is another proof of that the Looney Tunes were better.

Crosby, Columbo and Vallee is an interesting, but dull and weakly executed experiment.

 My Rating – 3.2
